It is now August. Can you beleive it? I guess I saw it coming...July 31st is my cousin's birthday and it's exactly 3 weeks before mine, so whenever I call him I know I'm getting a call back in 3 weeks.
I called into work on Tuesday. I asked for the day off 3 weeks earlier. The PLAN was to see Phish Monday night, drive the 300 miles home, take Melinda to work, go home sleep until 11am and then go to work. I
decided this wasn't going to happen. They wouldn't give me the day off, no matter how stupid I thought I would be after no sleep the day and night before. Well the fates had thier way anyways, on the way to the second
Phish show (Monday night) Mel's car started smoking. GREAT! It took until Tuesday afternoon to fix. We had to rent a car to get to the show. So we both called into work in Michigan for Tuesday. No prob for Mel, we only
had to listen to her parents "I told you so" crap. Me however. I no longer work for Kinko's. In Novi anyways. They said I can still work in Grand Rapids. They fired me, 3 days before my last day. How annoying is that?
Doesn't matter because yesterday I got a phone call and I'm working on theTV crew for something at the Pontiac Silverdome this Friday. Something I could not have said yes to if I was at Kinko's on Friday so it all works out.
Now I'm off to Grand Rapids next week to find a roof and hopefully a roomate, too. I want to switch some classes around in a few weeks because when the bills are due I'm sure there will be more classes
available. I didn't get to register on time because I had to APPLY to be a film major. Whatever. I had to write an essay and shit it was stupid.
Phish is coming to Grand Rapids I found out yesterday, too. So besides going to work and then coming right back a few good things happened, too. Now if only Radiohead would come to Michigan, I'd be set!
Things with Mel are going great, we're so compatible. I hope things go well when I'm 100 miles away at school. It should be cool because she's a computer dork, too, so we won't be spending lots of cash on the phone
calls. She's actually set up the internet phone thing when she was in Wisconsin talking to friends here, it's slow and there's an echo but it works like a phone. I just need to set it up on a friends computer or
something since mine still has no working power supply. She's definately the coolest.
Well I've got to go and clean the room so my mom doesn't freak out when I leave home again and there is no room for your foot to step in my room at thier house!
