Don't ever study animation in college and then try to watch your old favorite cartoons from the 80s or you will say things like:
"hey, that robot is the wrong color in that shot"
"hey, that group of decepticons attacking jetfire just had jetfire in the group of decepticons attacking himself"
"hey, optimus prime drove in the cave with his trailer, lost it for two shots and then had it back in another shot."
"hey, slag just transformed into his robot form and then a second later he was a dinosaur again."
etc. etc.
I realize now that the show that my life was based on was just a clever way to sell more toys and I fell for it. I still do. I see those cartoons and I saw "DAMNIT I WANT SWOOP!!" --- logging on e-bay.. now...

8/22/02 - Happy Birthday Dan
We would just like to say Happy Birthday to our friend Dan, and thank him for bringing out so many people to our last Bear's Dan show.
Dan was in rare form last night and was probably more entertaining than we were. Also Dan, I hope you aren't missing any teeth after my vicious shot to your jaw. I was only trying to give you a birthday hug. I swear.
Many apologies. Luckily, Jer's dad is an Oral Surgeon, if I did cause any damage.

birthdays kick ass..
except for that whole hard drive dying part. now I am back on the iMac... (which I gave to my dad in the Den...)
Cool Dry Place kicked so much ass for my birthday set that I couldn't not even dance enough to compare with them. They said they'd hire me to dance at every show, so maybe I am the Bosstone of CDP now?
After rocking in Berkley, we went to Ypsilanti where Scott Taylor arranged for a girl I've fancied since high school daze to kick some fucking ass in a jello wrestling tournement. Keshia said she's wrestle but low and behold she was just teasing me.
After TripleD placed in Second , I personally blame Scott Taylor for not getting her used to the temperature of jello's natural state. She was visibly shivering. I could have warmed her up.
We trekked off to Deja Vu a few doors down from the first place ( Club Devine) and if it's your birthday, they make sure you have a good time.

Phish will play for three nights in December / January.
It just so happens to be three nights during our 10 busiest days of the year at work.
I will not be able to go. I will end up shooting myself in the head on January 3rd because I couldn't be there. Sorry everyone. If only they came to Detroit this could have been avoided. Wait... maybe I can stop the autoshow from happening.

I thought I was going to have to admit defeat. I took my stereo off the rack because it doesn't amplify inputs. When I come out of the computer (before I had the harman kardon stick speakers) it was always low. Now I have this new TV monitor down here and I can watch DVDs off of it. Well it sucks to CRANK the audio just to get a decent output.
Well I got all this circa 1970s stereo equipment for my graduation so I figured I'd try it out. Well it wasn't working but after about an hour of fooling around with it... everything is TIGHT. Sounds soooo good. I am gonna throw in some things I've recorded with the DAT and check 'em out. I had previously thought I was messing up the recordings because they sounded so flat, but now I know it was just my setup here!
