I am so tired because I stayed up a little too late last night. But Mike Martin and I are going to make my workplace the new hangout I think. In a few days we're going to have 4 Xboxs networked together for gaming fun. That is 16 players across an intranet that can play the same game. How cool. Plus we both have new laptops on the way with wireless networking capabilities so when we're at my house or my work we can be anywhere and surf the web. how cool is that? very cool.
These late nights need to stop but I was editing so the time just flies by unnoticed.

I am sad today. I can't find a VHS tape from 1993 with the original master recording of RTD Productions Flatulence: The Movie. It was a silly little thing we did in TV10 when we were learning how to insert edit. We recorded new audio over the film Puppet Master II. Instead of being a horror movie, we made it a comedy about a guy who farts a lot. The video from the film matched perfect with our jokes and it was by far one of the most entertaining things I had done at that point in my life.
Now it's gone. Along with the other oldest master of mine, a tape from 1991 when I wired the VHS camcorder to our VCR and put together a collage of images to go with a presentation I was doing for history class called "The rise and fall of the auto industry."
I home these treasures resurface sometime. Best case scenario is if they resurface before DANthology MMII goes out. Otherwise the masses won't be able to see my earliest works.

Damnit. I can't believe I dig on Dave Matthews Band. I used to make fun of those people. But it's not even DMB I dig so much as Tim Reynolds who plays with him. So I will only listen to stuff with Tim playing, it's not like i'm a DMB fan or something. C'mon. I did go to a show once, but it was just to check things out.
So today I am having some auditions. I wonder what kind of turnout I'll get on like 5 days notice. I need to take another ad out in the MetroTimes. Most of the people I was in contact with to work with me are busy as heck now, so I gotta find new peeps if I'm not happy with the ones that do show up.
This Friday Mokum is playing at the Magic Bag, opening up for Knee Deep Shag. I'm gonna record the show with my new DAT recorder and shoot some video for the mokumband.com website I make for them. I love playing with new gear.. oh oh. I'm WORKING yeah, that's it.. following a beautiful woman who's prancing around on stage singing is work!

I just wasted a day.
I slept thru it all.
I woke up at about 11am. Thought I was going to accomplish so much. Then I got back in bed and now it's 8 fucking.p.m. and i'm typing with one hand waiting for my right arm to come back to life because i must have slept on it.

Something about listening to the Grateful Dead makes me feel like I'm about to turn 18 years old, just about out of high school, ready to take on the world.

DAT recorder is working fine! I fixed the mic problem. Whoever dropped it caused a little bit of the felt-type linen inside to be all bunched up, which made the metal part of of mic to vibrate whenever the outer casing moved in any way. But it sounds good now and all I need is a new shock mount because the one I have sucks.
We're doing some test footage for Winners & Losers this week, I'll do a rough edit and put it online so everyone can see the first NEW Dan thing in progress (first new thing since 1999's Two Chez!!! )
It's pretty funny what we've done so far, I can't wait to start working on the live action animation part.. and I get to play with a green screen and thats just WAY cool!
