evil tuner!

My QWiKTUNE tuner is fucking evil. It always says strings are too low, so I tighten them up and they break. Now the mandolin needs strings. The guitar already needed strings, but i was dealing with it. There's no way I can deal with it on the mandolin it's just not possible. Now i have to go buy strings. Lousy tuner!!! I will replace you when I go to the store this time.

redefined idea:redefined

Well Jason nixed that idea.

He's got some big plans for next year. Weird. He was all anti-Live Action a few months ago.. hehe. i guess he listened to me so well, that when I eventually saw what he was saying he didn't feel that way anymore LOL... so 2005 will have some whacky shit in store for ya from the VisualNoiz crew.

danimatian:redefined

i am about to talk to jason about this, but i am thinking of taking a haitus from live action video and storytelling.

I think VisualNoiz should officially declare a haitus from live action for 2 or 3 years.

In doing this we will be clearing the table to concentrate on animation. Particularly for myself, 3D animation. I have always been Anti-3D, and only since working at Universal Images have I actually begun to respect 3D animation as a vehicle for stylized artistic expression. I just hate PERFECTION and that is what 3D animation always symbolized to me.. mathmatics and equations that look beautiful but don't have the flawed drawn effect I have always loved.

So away with Live-Action, lets bring in the next era of Animation VisualNoiz style.

night summary

tonight no string instrument is safe. i am a menace to myself and furniture. +

i cannot decide which movie to watch. i stand above obsolete literature and hardware. old records, stacks of media in different formats, transformers, a film projector, unfinished dreams and a physical catalogue of happiness in the form of childhood artifacts.

a future unknown and a protagonist in the mood for some adventure.

"dude there are jobs for you all over the place here"

'really, in LA ? film jobs. i never guessed"

we chat for a bit. i tell him i am so not moving to LA. then he's gotta let me go when they get to the hospital.

"ok fine. go in the hospital. put on your daddy pants. i don't need to talk to you anymore jerk. whatever.. later!!"

crossing michigan

I am currently in Holt, just outside Lansing, MI.
Visiting with Mark and Sarah Geralds

Saturday I went to Ollie's brothers wedding, it was fun. Armenian weddings are funny. Before we go Ollie turns to me and says 'hey my family is a little crazy so.. ooo you're Armenian too I don't have to explain anything!!!'

Sunday morning... ok ok. Sunday afternoon I woke up and got some lunch with my cousin Ed. We had Fazoli's which is like a 8 times a week meal for him. We're working on getting an "Ed's Special" on the menu, but no dice thus far.

I drove half way to Grand Rapids to Gun Lake, where Mark Samp's dad has a place. We went Jet-Skiing and drank a little. Mark and I are very very sore from said water sports and we can both barely move today.

This morning I wanted to go to Yesterdog in Eastown. I hadn't been there in well over a year and it's a special to Grand Rapids kind of place. It was in the film American Pie if you look closely but it was called something else.

Low and behold the Yesterdog was CLOSED. I was very very sad.
We ended up at the Pita House which is funny because there is another Pita House very close to Marks house and had we known we could have just gone there. Ah well. Every day is an adventure and you can't get upset at the little things.

Lansing is only 50 minutes from home so I should be back before too late. I may stay here for dinner as I haven't seen Mark and Sarah in quite some time. I do miss my peeps. Plus I doubt I'll see any friends soon.. autoshow is coming up which pretty much kills my social calendar until February.

to fix or not to fix?

OK cast your vote:

Should I get this fixed?

When I was in Vermont I got an oil change on my 2000 Ford Focus. Apparently when you do that your car resets itself to the current barometric conditions. What this means is that my car is setup for high altitude air pressure.

Now that I am home my car almost stalls when it changes gears and/or I am going uphill.
I am also getting 80+ miles more per tank. I've driven 440 miles on this tank thus far.

Should I get this fixed?

Sure its weird that my car feels like it is about to stall but it hasn't ACTUALLY stalled. My mechanic says I can fix it if I want but I don't have to if I want the extra gas mileage.

It's an easy fix, I just need to unplug my car battery for 15 minutes and then plug it back it and it will fix itself according to the current atmospheric conditions. Technology is whack, eh?
