The receptionist was out until 1pm today. so i watched the front desk while I played civilization 3 on my TiBook. screaming "LOUSY FUCKING GERMANS" every once in a while. Finally after 700 years of war we made peace.. only because I had a republic and under that gov't the people get upset with you if you war too long.

Nothing fills me with more joy than seeing 2 boxes in a tape library side by side. On labelled "Chevy Animator" - The sweet Chris Wirth spot for Chevrolet where they had him in the actual commercial at the end. Right next to a box labelled "DANthology MMII"

Hell yeah.

Today Jason and I did some drawing.. it's coming along slowly and we're creating new methods in which we work. It's like a cross between drawn and cardboard cutout replacement animation. We haven't thought things thru this way in the past so we're figuring it out as we go. Besides, neither of us really knows how to work in Flash so we're discovering things out as we go along. I always like my work when I am learning because I creatively think things thru and come up with things I would never do if I sat down and set out rules as to how to accomplish goals.

I've become that guy. That 20some guy. What the fuck?

Mike Martin just caught me saying "When I came back home from lunch." Instead of "When I came back to work from lunch"

How did this happen? When I first started this job I was like "You always knew I'd never have a 9-5," because I worked 10-6. Now I work 8:45a-9pm and I love it. What is going on?

Work is taking over my life. I don't even care that I don't have a girlfriend. I have a fucking laptop now, what good is a girlfriend hanging around all the time? Out of town girlfriends. That's what I dig on. I am gonna hook up with a honey in every major area code, then I'll be set. work and have my time on my own, leave town when I want some booty. Sign me up.

Today I sat on the couch with the powerbook, editing footage of my dog chasing my sisters dog (5 times it's size)

my mom was like "You look WAY too comfortable" as I was reclined while websurfing and editing with the only wire around going from the camera to the firewire input.

I am testing the new speakers intensively. The test right now is Live Phish 06 Disc 3 - It's got a Mike's Song and a Weekapaug Groove. For some reason they kept taking songs into Wipeout that evening. It's funny as hell and quite amazing musically.

The PowerBook comes in on Monday.

It's gonna be a whole new world.

HippiesÖ StonersÖ DeadheadsÖ

Do you want to do something that will help make the world fit to bring children into?

By simply writing ëIMPEACH THE SCUMBAGSí anywhere that you see graffiti, being sure not to vandalize anything, you are able to help overthrow the oppressors who have kept everyone in the poor house working like slaves. You are invited to help us take the planet from the rich corrupt people who have overlooked the needs of the needy and the plight of those who are plighted.

Using magic markers and marijuana cigarettes you can become a full time activist spreading word by writing IMPEACH THE SCUMBAGS where people can see it and throwing joints at everyone you meet.

Thank you for your cooperation!

I saw Paul McCartney with my Mom on Wednesday night. Afterwards I went to 5th Ave royal oak to see Lorie's sister off. She's leaving town. So I buy the girl a drink to say goodbye and when you buy a girl a drink you gotta make sure you buy her twin a drink or else melodrama might ensue. I get Lorie's drink and as I get to her, I pop the glass down and prepare to pour. Jeff from Mokum is also there, he's working there now. He nabs the glass in a moment of cleaning tranquility so I go back to the bar to get another one.

This girl at the bar eyes my tie dyed beatles shirt and turns to me and says

How was Rusted Root tonight

I went to a better show.

She mentions something about being into journalism and then I really really look at her.

What is your name?

Erin.

Erin, I've been looking for you for seven years.

She turns away as she rolls her eyes. You would think the girl hears that line 3 times a week or something. I grab her elbow.

MIPA summer journalism camp at MSU in 1993 we were nigh inseparable for a week.

Her eyes light up with recognization. We chitchat a bit and she tells me she's been upset lately and last week she went thru old letters to cheer herself up. She came across some stuff from our penpal phase and it made her feel better. We were always big fans of each others journalism. She tells me she's still engrossed with my writings from the early 90s. I tell her I've been looking for her any way I could but there's a hell of a lot of Erin Browns.

She claims I look TOTALLY different than I used to. Thats the first time I've ever heard that. Usually it's "You'll never change. Same hair, same attitude, same boy." It was nice to know someone notices the little nuances about you that change.

So i grab her number from her, which turns out to be a fax machine or something. I can't really make it out, that tiny piece of paper was beer soaked and so was her brain. I hope she calls me 'cause she said she would love to write for itwillfail.com as well as she's been thinking about getting into film.

Well I've got scripts all ready to shoot.
I can help her with a journalistic venue.
And together we can figure out where she fits into the film industry.

Waiting waiting waiting for this girl to call. I miss her so. We lost touch when i left for college. Too sad.
