another Saturday night

went to Luna for Blaines birthday celebration. it was actually on monday but we can celebrate for as long as we'd like damnit!!

then i went downtown to Jessy's party.

On the way down Woodward I destroyed the 3rd and final mirror of my car. The lady in the drive thru told me to back up and drive up again to re-set the drive thru window timer and when i backed up I took the mirror off with the pole a foot back i had forgotten about.

i already had the duct tape ready to go since the passenger side mirror already falls off regularly. the inside mirror was in the back seat.

good thing i'm people who know people because i get to replace all those missing parts at 1/4 of the normal cost. yay motor city discounts.

this has been a sweet weekend, but next weekend will top this one for sure. I'm doing it chicago style for a mini moe. tour.

Friday night in Detroit

I had to crash at Israel's last night because in the span of 3 hours him and his buddys got me so wasted I knew there was no way I was gonna drive home.

It kinda sucks tho because I pretty much ruined his plans for going over to his girls place. I feel like an ass now... ah well.. I was having hot flashes and seriously thought I was gonna pass out so I didn't want to be driving.. so i'm alive but slightly embarrassed.

I need to get a place downtown this year. Prefarably before my birthday. Then I can rock out in the 313 all the time.

Borrowing Mom's Car To Get To See Vanilla Ice

What a night!

We had no clue what we were in for when we entertained the notion of watching Vanilla Ice perform.

The triumph of the human spirit found way to rise above the persistant downfall of technology.

Robbed of my cell phone due to technological difficulties. (OK I dropped my phone damnit, it's always been my fault.) I couldn't make any calls from the cell to find a person to take the extra ticket.

Everyone thinks you're joking if you ever call to invite them to see Vanilla Ice. The most common response is "Word to your mother" or "Yo VIP!"

Normally I would inform someone that if they chose, they could stop. collaborate. AND listen.

We found a winner. Plus my boy could score the sack he'd been hoping for. It was a 2-For!

We go to Plymouth. Pick up the friend that thought the show would be interesting. We went for dinner and then met up with his friend that would provide my friend with said sack of joy.

We hit up Plaza Lanes and low and behold I bump into a friend as well as make a new one.

The guy shows up, we hang for a bit then decide to head to Pontiac.

We stop at my boy's house and this is where the night changes.

We smoke down. I break his car.

I really break his car.

I jammed my car keys into his ignition.

The car thinks I am trying to steal his car because the signal going from the key of my Focus does not match up with the encryption of what his Focus wants the signal from the key to be. His car is bright yellow but the inside feels like mine when you sit in it.

The car won't let us drive it. His keys don't work. It's in protect mode or something.

I go back inside. Explain to mom what's happening. (his mom is just mom i've known her long enough.)

She sizes me up and since I am OK to drive we bust out to Pontiac in her car.

We drive by Mr. Alans. We all shout "2-For!" in various mathmatical equations.

I'm not exactly sure where Se7in is. Despite my manhood intuition I ask for directions immediately and we are 2 blocks away from our destination. We briskly walk thru the cold to get to the show.

In the club I open a tab. (the details get hazier here)

15 minutes later Vanilla Ice is on stage. It's about 12:20 am.

He does at least a 40 minute set and then its back to normal.

Very quickly he busts out an Ice Ice Baby > Ice Cold

shortly thereafter he does a VERSE from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie song "Ninja Rap" so the night has complete closure for me.

It's at least 3 hours later and whats happened since I am still trying to figure out. No one got sick or arrested, but there were definately people of the amused variety.
