It took Rita a day and a half after I left her on Sunday to break the Rio 800. Little hippie girl had the technological gadget from Friday night when I got there and put it through the washing machine on Monday.

It's funny how up and down your mind can go about people.
Rita's sick, I know this. That's why we didn't leave town this weekend. So we're at the bar tonight with her mom and she's sick to the stomach... yet still wanting to go out on the town for some reason.
So I smile at her and she does not smile back. So I'm like 'well jeez.'
I was pretending to be mad at her as I 'stomped' away 10 minutes earlier, but I figured she knew it was a joke. I had stomped away because when I came to sit down she said "Oh you scared that guy away, he was checking me out." So I said "Well fine I will stop cramping your style!" and went to go talk to Aaron Beazu whom I hadn't seen since my GVSU days.
Anyways, she's not smiling so I'm like 'what the fuck is her problem' but the band is playing and we can't really hear each other.
Anyways.. my mind is racing with all sorts of things that could have pissed her off and what the heck is goin on etc etc.
No. she's just sick. her stomach hurts.. thats why she won't smile. And in my head I am thinking of thousands of explanations...

Well driving to Chicago isn't happening. Rita's sick so I'm just chilling in Grand Rapids. Currently at Mark Samps.
Rita and I watched Amelie last night, and I gave her her birthday present, which was the 64MB Rio800 mp3 player i bought for myself before buying a better 128MB one. She got glasses for the first time yesterday, she's a little self conscious about it but damn I think they are sexy as hell.
She's not into the internet so I (a) showed her how to use the internet (b) showed her how to download songs and (c) showed her how to get the songs onto the Rio800. It's funny to teach someone how to get online. The computer crashed like 5 times in an hour which is why she hates computers. She needs a Macintosh.

the open road
i should be writing some interesting things in the weeks to come. inspiration comes when cosmic events dictate.
in the same spirit that makes me turn off the internet... to focus... to work....
i am turning off my typical surroundings for the weekend.
rita and i are heading on the road. turn off the phone man. unplug the computer. step away from the television,sir!
she's informed me there won't be a 4:20 time.
she's looking for a real job now...
this should prove interesting as 80% of our memories together since i moved away in 2000 probably involve 4:20
as i am still reflecting on beginnings and endings of my chosen february topic for ItWillFail.com.. (friendship) i must tell you
i love the thrill of excitment that current friendships give

OK, I ditched the Rio 800 and bought a different Rio 800 with more MB. Now I have a 128MB and Rita has the 64MB. Now I don't have to make her mix CDs anymore. That saves me like 5 hours a week. There is supposed to be these 256MB and 512MB extensions for them but I can't find any for sale.

Well I bought an mp3 player and it wasn't the iPod. I got the Rio 800, and it was only $50. [Check it out]
One good thing about having Windows on my Mac is that I can upload voice recordings from the rio800 player to the hard drive. For some reasons, iTunes doesn't support that.
